Tongue Thai'd

Let’s just say that taking a whack at this whole “learn a new language” thing has been an absolutely hysterical process. With four different markings for the letter “S,” I guess you could say that this isn’t exactly going as I had hoped. I spent an entire afternoon learning the different greetings alone! The number of grammatical rules and the complexity of each one is astounding. So for those who may have been wondering, as Miranda Preicely would say, “no for the fortieth time no,” Thai is in no way a language that one should put off learning 8 weeks before their 4 month trip throughout Thailand. All I can say is that it's a good thing that my classes will be taught in the English language...because this Thai stuff is really schooling me.
