The Bundit gals and I spent a physically demanding weekend in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park! First off, please read the following link to learn more about this spectacular park to get the full effect of the experience: https://www.thainationalparks.com/khao-sam-roi-yot-national-park . Secondly, there is just too much to talk about without making good use of the "bullet point system." Here we go:

DAY 1: (Friday)

- The day was so overcast and rainy that it reminded me of home...just with mango trees and coy fish. It was nice to finally feel the rain again before my Friday class was cancelled directly after I had already arrived! Haha!

- I returned to Bundit to collect my things and catch the mini bus out of Bangkok with four friends.

- We arrived at Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, which is about three hours from Salaya, where we were able to unpack our things at a small hostel located close to the park entrance.

- After a nighttime bike ride to the beach, the ladies and I sat down to a dinner at Dolphin Bay Resort. The resort is right on the Gulf of Thailand in a quiet town in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

DAY 2: (Saturday)

- It was an early start on the park tour, where we biked roughly 25 miles throughout the early morning and afternoon to our destination of Phraya Nakhon Cave.

- For a quick break we ate fried bananas that came recommended by our Thai guide, nicknamed "O." Making another stop, the group and I risked our lives on a "bridge" made entirely of fragile bamboo over a local fishery.

- Following our first bike ride, we arrived at Tian Mountain, where we hiked up the mountain and count stop to see monkeys playing in the distant trees. Their little rustling sounds in the brush were adorable.

- After our two mountain hikes, we began our descent into Phraya Nakhon Cave, which turned out to be not only 20 degrees cooler, but one of the most striking scenes I have ever laid eyes upon. Photos just don't do justice here.

DAY 3: (Sunday)

- With extremely sore legs, Erica, Natalie and I made our way down to the beach for swimming, boating, and most importantly, some breakfast.

- My hammock was put to great use on the white beach before our drive back to Salaya.

Overall it was a FANTASTIC weekend! I definitely recommend Khao Sam Roi Yot to anyone taking a trip in Thailand with some time to spare!
