“The earth laughs in flowers.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

To say that tonight was colorful would be an understatement. Before a heavenly dinner on the Yodpiman River Walk in Bangkok, a couple of the Bundit ladies and I took a walk around the Pak Klong Talad Flower Market in the heart of Bangkok. The enormous 24-hour flower market sits nice and pretty just beyond the gates of the Grand Palace, and is the biggest wholesale and retail fresh flower market in Thailand. The market contains all kinds of popular flowers and flora-related items, including roses, forget me nots, orchids, lilies and so many more. Wholesalers bring in truckloads of freshly cut flowers, while traders and retailers come to buy their stock in bulk. For as far as the eye could see, there were flowers. I have never been anywhere that smelled so good in hundreds of little pockets scattered throughout the streets. It was truly a spectacular sight to behold. As a side note...photos absolutely do no justice here.
