Night of Magic - The Iron Fairies

A very happy 21st birthday to our beautiful friend, and fellow CIS Abroad student, Morgan! Thanks to this delightful lady, some of the Bundit girls and I had a late night out on the town. Our first stop was an oyster bar in Siam, Bangkok. Following a yummy meal and drinks, we made our way just around the corner to a unique bar, very fittingly called The Iron Fairies. Iron Fairies is a magical bar that is designed like an ironsmith’s workshop. It is dark and broody, with wrought iron staircases, exposed pipes and dilapidated timber and brick. Bottles of "fairy dust" are stacked high in rows, and everywhere you look you could chance upon little iron figurines of the winged creatures that give the bar its name. You can purchase the fairy dust here, and drinks that are very different from any common drink menu. For example, our friend Pada had a watermelon drink, featuring a roasted marshmellow!!! Though the bathroom was dark and creepy, and even required me putting on my flashlight on my phone to not be scared of the gargoyles. We had such a fun time enjoying the surreal atmosphere of the bar. If ever you decide to make a stop in Bangkok near Siam, I definitely recommend this location as a stop!
