Hua Hin

After getting up quite early and catching a taxi to the mini bus station, some of the Bundit ladies and I were off to our first beach destination. Hua Hin is a coastal city on the Gulf of Thailand. Today was such an incredible day. We started off with a quick bite to eat, and then a walk along the beach. Pada and I decided to spend our afternoon riding horses along the beach, which proved to be a deeply freeing experience. With no lead, we were able to gallop along the beach as we pleased. Buuuuut due to the spontaneity of this activity, I completely wrecked my legs with cuts and bruises because I was not wearing the proper pants. The leather from the saddle pinched and pulled every time we began to canter. As for the rest of the day, we spent it swimming and sight seeing. Can't wait to return!

Tomorrow is my very first day of school! I really can't believe it will be the first day as a true international student, and that I will be dressed head to toe in a school uniform. I am currently both nervous to find my way around campus, and excited to meet new professors and build new relationships with Thai students in my classes. Wish me luck!
