The first day of class has come and gone. Since today is Monday, I only had one class to attend, People and Organization in International Business. We were able to form our semester groups today! I can't wait to work with Pond, Gang, and Mai this semester. They were so welcoming and helpful to the tall, awkward, caucasian girl who must have looked lost.

At 8:00 AM I took the free shuttle to campus to rearrange some classes and register for a new one to count as general credit. I have decided to take Tropical Ecology and Conservation due to the fact that the Thai language class was unfortunately all booked up. This class is 4 credits and includes several free excursions only offered to students within this particular class. Here is an overview of the 4 classes (13 credits) that I will be attending this semester here in Thailand:

1. People and Organization in International Business: An examination of international business operations, organization structure, finance and accounting system, taxation system, marketing strategy, cultural differences, global trade, capital markets and economic growth; the impact of regional trading blocs, corporate global competitiveness, and global strategies.

2. Human Resources Management: Theories and practices concepts of people management in organizations; relationship between human resource management and organizational performance.

3. International Business Management: International business operations, organization structure, finance and accounting systems, taxation system, marketing strategy, cultural differences, global trade, capital markets and economic growth, the impact of regional trading blocs, corporate global competitiveness, and global strategies.

4. Tropical Ecology and Conservation: This course is intended to introduce students to tropical ecosystems and ecology. Topics addressed include: the tropical environment; tropical grasslands/savanna; tropical rainforests and biodiversity; tropical streams, rivers, floodplains and estuaries; tropical lakes; wetlands; mangroves; seagrasses; coral reefs; biogeography.

(P.s. The school uniform is really not all that bad haha)
